Job Opportunity: MRI Tech (Travel/Contract)

Position Details

Shift: 2x10 hour days, Saturday and Sunday only (08:00 - 18:30)
Work Schedule: Weekend coverage only, one MRI tech on duty with an assistant
Average Case Load: 6-9 exams per day
Work Environment: Short Term Acute Care facility
Charting System: EPIC
Must be able to work independently
Experience with Siemens MRI equipment required

Experience Requirements

Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty (Radiology/Cardiology MRI Tech)
Prior Travel Experience: Not required
First-time travelers accepted
Weekend work required
On-call: Not required
Floating: Not required

Licensure & Certifications

Required Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- WA State License
- ARRT MR (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Magnetic Resonance)
Pending License: Accepted
Additional Certifications: ACLS, PALS, NRP, CPI, NIH Stroke Certification, IV Certification, and others may be required depending on clinical track and specialty (verify with clinical leadership).

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

Background Checks:
- Must be current within 45 days of start date
- Includes SSN Trace, Death Master Index, Nationwide and County checks, Sex Offender Registry, Education Verification, Motor Vehicle Record (if applicable), and others
- State-specific searches required for Washington (WSP/WATCH) and border states
Health Documents:
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit Mask test (annual, travel only)
- Immunizations: TDAP, MMR (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu seasonal vaccine (or declination), COVID vaccine or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required)
- Drug screening: 10-panel within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- Respiratory Safety Clearance (annual for travel)
References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
Employment Application: Must include at least last 5 years of employment with explanations for gaps or overlaps

Additional Requirements

WorkRamp Modules:
- Completion of required system, specialty, and regional training modules prior to start
- Annual regulatory and specialty-specific modules required
Skills Checklists: Annual updates required for applicable units
Float Policy: Acknowledgement may be required (though floating is not expected for this role)
Local Travelers: Not eligible if residing within 50 miles of the facility
