Registered Nurse First Assistant

Job Overview

• Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Schedule: Day shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
• Hours per week: 36
• Start: As soon as possible
• Work setting: Outpatient surgery center with floating to the main OR as needed
• On-call: As needed
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Valid RN license in Massachusetts
• First Assist experience within the last year
• 3 years of First Assist experience
• CNOR - Certified Nurse (OR)
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Additional Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID
• Emergency contact form before start
• Annual background check and required annual screenings
• Color blindness testing before start
• Competency exams as applicable to the profession
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Tdap within 10 years
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Positive titers required for measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella
• 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
• 2 professional references within 3 years of start
• Annual skills checklist
