Job Type
- Travel/Contract
- Night shift, 3x12 hours
- 36 hours per week
Unit Overview
- Float pool role covering the hospital, including the Emergency Department, ER hold, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and Stepdown/PCU
- Med-surg ratio up to 1:7
- Every other weekend
- No call
- Flexible scheduling required; no schedule requests can be accommodated
- Locals accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Georgia
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Float experience
Compliance and Start Requirements
- Full compliance required before start
- Maximum 7 days of requested time off
- Must work major holidays as assigned based on the number of holidays in the assignment period
- Background check must be complete before start
- Education verification of related degree required
- Work history verification required
- Skills checklist within 12 months
- 2 clinical references required
- Photo ID required
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months of start
- TB questionnaire required
- Drug screen within 60 days of start
- Flu vaccine or declination required
- Tdap is highly recommended but not required
Additional Notes
- Non-billable orientation hours vary by contract length
- Candidate review occurs after confirmation is sent
