Role

Travel/Contract Registered Nurse in Maryville, Tennessee.

Schedule

• Night shift: 18:45-07:15
• 3x12 schedule
• Every other weekend coverage

Unit / Setting

• Inpatient unit for stroke and TIA patients
• Also receives higher-acuity med-surg patients
• Adults & Geriatrics
• Staffing ratio on nights: 1:6
• Float required to other units based on need and skill set

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• Experience with Epic

Required Certifications

• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS

Clinical Details

• Medication system: Omnicell
• Common diagnoses include Stroke/TIA, Seizure, Syncope, PNA, Chest Pain, Dialysis, Acute Kidney failure, Post Heart Cath, Respiratory Failure, Encephalopathy, CHF, and Sepsis
• Unit can perform peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation
