Overview

Travel/Contract RN assignment in Orange, California.
13-week contract.
Traveler will float to both Orange and Irvine campuses and will primarily be pre-assigned to the 6th floor unit in Irvine.
Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:30.

Required Qualifications

Valid California RN license.
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
1 year of telemetry experience within the last year.
NIHSS.
Experience with Epic.
2 references within 1 year of start in the current specialty, from a leadership role.
Government-issued photo ID.
Criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually.
Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually.
N95 mask fit testing within 1 year of start, renewed annually.
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start.
Hepatitis B series or declination.
Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap.
Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity or vaccination requirements.
Flu vaccination or declination.
9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start.
Signed HIPAA acknowledgement.
Signed unit-specific job description.
Signed confidentiality agreement within 72 hours of signing.
Signed orientation and compliance acknowledgements, including infection control/bloodborne pathogens exam.
Medication test/pharmacology competency exam.
Unit-specific competency exam.
Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam.
Continuing education documentation from the last 24 months.

Preferred

Hepatitis C titer is strongly preferred.

Notes

All RN candidates take a medication/calculation exam.
MS/Tele, Tele, Step Down, ER, ICU, IR, and PACU nurses are required to take an arrhythmia recognition assessment.
