Job Opportunity: CRT (Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics)
Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Description
- Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:30 - 7:00)
- Weekend coverage: every other weekend
- May be assigned to an Emergency Team during events, requiring extended stay or relief duties as directed by unit manager
- Unit accepts first-time travelers; must be an experienced Respiratory Therapist (no new graduates)
- Preference for candidates with Epic experience
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Louisiana
- Minimum of 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
Experience
- Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
- Required years of experience: Not explicitly stated, but must be experienced (no new grads accepted)

Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, Sex Offender Search, and education verification as applicable

- Physical exam within 12 months indicating good health
- Fit mask testing (N95) within one year of start; onsite fit testing available if needed
- Immunizations or proof of immunity required for:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (for specific units)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or completed vaccine series)
- Hepatitis B (positive titer, vaccine series, or booster)
- Varicella (positive titer, vaccine series, or booster)
- Negative TB test (PPD, Qgold, or Tspot) within 12 months; chest X-ray and TB questionnaire if positive
- Seasonal flu vaccination, medical, or religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
- Photo for badge: full color, passport-style, taken within last 6 months, plain background, no obstructions or filters

- Candidates must complete skills checklist annually
- Employment application and resume required, including 7 years of employment history and explanations for gaps
- Must be comfortable with emergency event assignments and extended shifts as needed
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification not required for this specialty
