Job Opportunity: CRT (Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics)

Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Description

• Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:30 - 7:00)
• Weekend coverage: every other weekend
• May be assigned to an Emergency Team during events, requiring extended stay or relief duties as directed by unit manager
• Unit accepts first-time travelers; must be an experienced Respiratory Therapist (no new graduates)
• Preference for candidates with Epic experience

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Louisiana
• Minimum of 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification

Experience

• Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, Sex Offender Search, and education verification as applicable
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start (instant screenings not accepted)
• Physical exam within 12 months indicating good health
• Fit mask testing (N95) within one year of start; onsite fit testing available if needed
• Immunizations or proof of immunity required for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (for specific units)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or completed vaccine series)
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer, vaccine series, or booster)
  • Varicella (positive titer, vaccine series, or booster)
• Negative TB test (PPD, Qgold, or Tspot) within 12 months; chest X-ray and TB questionnaire if positive
• Seasonal flu vaccination, medical, or religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• Photo for badge: full color, passport-style, taken within last 6 months, plain background, no obstructions or filters

• Must be comfortable with emergency event assignments and extended shifts as needed
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification not required for this specialty
