Job Details

• Call: 5 days per week and every other weekend
• Patient Age Group: Adults & Geriatrics
• Local Candidates: Not accepted (must be outside 50-mile radius)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
• Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including experience within the last year
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience working with adult and geriatric patients

Required Background & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• 7-year criminal background check including SS trace, county searches, nationwide, sex offender, and PA statewide patch search
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check
• HHS/OIG check
• Education verification (transcripts, diplomas, or 3rd party verification)
• PA Child Abuse Search (Childline) within 1 year of start
• PA FBI Fingerprinting within 12 months of start (must be completed in PA)
• 2 professional references within last 3 years

Required Health & Immunization Documents

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test (PPD, Q Gold, or TSpot) within 6 months or chest X-ray within 5 years
• Immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella (Chicken Pox)
• Tdap vaccination within past 10 years (declination accepted with form)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Alcohol breathalyzer test within 30 days of start
• Flu vaccine or facility-specific declination during flu season (Nov-April)
• COVID vaccine or facility-specific declination

Additional Requirements & Competencies

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• NURSYS verification for RN license
• Photo for badge (passport style, no filters)
• Completion of facility-specific orientation packet and acknowledgements
• Completion of bloodborne pathogen quiz prior to start

Work Environment & Other Notes

• Call schedule includes 5 days per week plus every other weekend
• No local candidates accepted within 50 miles
• Scrubs provided by facility
• First-time travel nurses accepted if they meet experience requirements
