Job Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Minimum Experience Required: 2 years
- Licenses Required: ARRT-R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography) and BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Call Schedule: Every 3rd weekend
- First-time travelers and local candidates are welcome
- Scrubs color: Green/Teal
- Average patient census: 13
- Charting system: Epic
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Jersey
- Valid ARRT-R license
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Certifications & Competencies
- BLS: Required and must be current (AHA, RQI, or instructor cards accepted)
- ACLS: Required for Interventional Radiology RNs (AHA, RQI, or instructor cards accepted)
- IV Certification: Required for all RNs except those in OR specialties; must be current by 6/1/2026
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam: Required for all RNs; must be completed within 72 hours of signing and valid within 12 months of start
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam: Required for applicable units including Interventional Radiology; must be completed within 72 hours of signing and valid within 12 months of start
- Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication): Pharmacology and Basic EKG exams required for clinical staff; candidates have 3 attempts to pass
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement: Proof of OSHA, HIPAA & Joint Commission annual training required
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam: Required for all RNs & LPNs
- Color Blind Testing: Required within one year of start if job tasks require color discrimination; 80%+ passing score required
- Competency Exam: Must be completed within 72 hours of signing; valid within 12 months of start
Health & Background Requirements
- Background Check: Criminal background check required within 30 days of start; must include all aliases and locations worked/lived in past 7 years
- Drug Screen: Negative 10-panel drug screen required within 30 days of start
- Physical Exam: Required within 12 months of start; must clear candidate to perform essential job functions and confirm free of communicable disease
- TB Testing: Negative TB test or chest X-ray required within 3 months of start; additional requirements if history of positive TB
- Immunizations:
- Influenza vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) immunity proof required
- Varicella immunity proof required
- Hepatitis B immunity proof or vaccination compliance required
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination within past 10 years required
- Respiratory Medical Clearance: Required prior to start; on-site fit testing mandatory
- Fit Test: Required if job tasks involve respirator use or glove wearing; must be completed on-site
- Latex Allergy Screening: Required within one year of start if applicable

- References: Two references within last 2 years; at least one managerial reference
- Employment History: Resume or application with 7 years of work history required
- Skills Checklist: Must be completed and updated annually
- Work History Verification: Minimum 1 year prior to start date verified for New Jersey candidates
- Facility-Specific Policies: Floating policy and annual education sign-off required for every new assignment
- Annual Education: Candidates must review and sign off on annual education materials prior to start
