Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse
Location: Anderson, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology (IR RN)
- Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week (3 x 8 hours) from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Hours per week: 24 hours
- Start Date: June
- Call Requirement: 1 night per week and every 5th weekend
- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates accepted
- Pending license accepted if obtained prior to start
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in Interventional Radiology, with experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID must be carried during hours of service
- Background checks:
- 7-year criminal background check covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
- International background check if lived outside the U.S. in the last 7 years
- Transcript or diploma required for Cath Lab and EP Lab RNs (needed for point-of-care testing)
- Color blindness test (Ishihara) required
- Physical exam within 1 year confirming good health (no expiration)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes
- Immunizations or titers required for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
- Varicella
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug test within 90 days of start (instant acceptable)
- Annual fit mask test required (N95 or equivalent)
- Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 1); unvaccinated must wear a mask onsite
- Photo for badge required (no visible nose piercings allowed)
- Completion of facility-specific online orientation and acknowledgment prior to start
- Stroke education and acknowledgment required if working at the facility for one year or longer
Additional Requirements
- Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
- If previously employed at the facility for over 1 year, a performance evaluation within 1 year of start date is required; otherwise, 2 professional references within 1 year of start date are accepted
- Complete employment application/resume required
Notes
- Must submit all required Return to Office (RTO) documentation with application
- License renewal deadlines are strictly enforced; failure to renew on time may result in suspension or termination
- Facility enforces strict compliance with all health and safety policies, including COVID-19 and flu vaccination policies
