Medical Lab Scientist - Travel/Contract

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Specialty: Laboratory
Shift: Night (4x10 hours), 9:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Placement primarily on night shift in a high-volume, highly specialized Blood Bank.
Responsibilities include specimen processing, ABO/Rh/Antibody Screen & ID, Antibody Typing (Tube Method), Crossmatch (Immediate Spin/IgG), Electronic Crossmatch, and Indirect Coombs Test.
Blood Bank supports transfusion needs for pediatric and adult specialty services.
Must be comfortable working independently during night shifts.
Handles approximately 15,000 samples.

Required Qualifications

Medical Lab Scientist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year.
Certification: ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) or ACP (American Certification Agency) required.
