Case Manager (Registered Nurse) - Travel/Contract
Location: Portland, Oregon
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
- Hours: 40 hours per week guaranteed
- Patient Ratios: 1:20-25
- Setting: Short-Term Acute Care, Magnet, Teaching, Level I Trauma Center
- Charting System: Epic
- Floats: May float within scope to adult inpatient, Emergency Department, and Pediatrics
- Weekend Requirement: Variable
- Block Scheduling: Possible by request
- Locals Accepted: Yes
- Pending License Accepted: Yes (must have application submitted and received by licensing board for 90-day license exemption)
- On-call: Not required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oregon
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of case management experience, including acute hospital case management
- Case management experience within the last year
- Experience in an inpatient setting
- ACLS certification
Compliance & Onboarding Requirements
- Start Date: ASAP, typically 3-4 weeks from offer for compliance processing; start dates on Tuesdays
- Professional Appearance Policy: Must be reviewed and signed prior to start
- Facility-Specific Training: Completion of required Compass modules prior to start (Information Privacy and Security Essentials, Integrity Foundations, Harassment Prevention Fundamentals, Vocera Badge Training)
- Physical & Health Requirements:
- Fit mask test within one year prior to start (must be completed through agency, not onsite)
- Immunizations and titers required or signed declinations for: Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months prior to start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination required by December 1, 2025
- Documentation: Valid government-issued photo ID required on first day
- Background Check Release: Must complete facility-specific advanced screening release authorization
- References & Work History: Application must include at least 7 years of work history with city and state for each position
Additional Information
- Parking: $16 daily pass required (8 AM - 5 PM); public transportation encouraged
- Appearance: Scrubs of any color allowed, no prints; scrubs provided
- Floating: Clinician may be asked to float within scope to meet facility needs
- Compliance Availability: Candidates must be fully available for any compliance needs up until start date (vacations or time off must be communicated in advance)
