Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager for an acute care hospital position in Oregon, requiring at least 2 years of inpatient case management experience and an active OR RN license.
Details
- Works in a short-term acute care hospital that is a Magnet-designated, academic teaching facility and Level I Trauma Center
- Case management role covering adult inpatient and ED patient populations
- Patient caseload ratio of 1:20–25
- Shift is days, 5x8 hours (7:00 AM–3:30 PM)
- Weekend availability required on a variable basis
- Floating may be required within scope to adult inpatient, ED, and Peds, including to a nearby affiliate hospital — refusal to float may result in contract cancellation
- Charting system is Epic (experience highly preferred)
- Block scheduling may be accommodated upon request
Requirements
- Active OR RN license required; pending license accepted if application has been submitted and received by the licensing board to qualify for the 90-day license exemption
- Certifications required: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 2 years of acute, inpatient hospital case management experience within the last 5 years
- Experience in inpatient medical/surgical, ED, and/or pediatric settings required
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Epic charting experience highly preferred
- Two manager or supervisor references from the last 24 months required — charge RN references are not acceptable
- COVID vaccination documentation required with no exemptions
Additional Information
- Provides RN case management services across adult inpatient and ED settings
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted
- Candidates who are former employees or previous travelers at this facility must have a reference completed by the OHSU manager who supervised them
- Candidates must have been away from this facility for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
- RTO is limited to 7–10 days maximum and must be noted at time of consideration; any approved RTO must be made up at the end of the contract
- Scrubs may be any solid color — no prints; scrubs are provided
- Daily parking requires a paid pass ($16/day, 8 AM–5 PM only); public transportation is strongly encouraged
- Start dates for this unit fall on Tuesdays
