Registered Nurse - MICU (Travel/Contract)

Location: Lexington, Kentucky
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Contract Length: 14 weeks

Job Summary

Level One Trauma experience required.
Must have at least 2 years of ICU/Telemetry experience caring for medical, surgical, trauma, and critical patients.
Experience in a teaching hospital setting is required.
Must work a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per schedule period.
Local travelers within 100 miles are not accepted.
Requests for time off (RTO) during the first 2 weeks limited to single days off only; longer time off requests allowed after 2 weeks. No holiday RTO accepted.
Must be able to work full schedule without conflicts or multiple concurrent assignments.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kentucky
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) experience, including experience within the last year
Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
Telemetry experience
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
