Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical ICU (MICU) position at a Level 1 Trauma academic teaching hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and a KY or compact RN license.
Details
- MICU unit within a Level 1 Trauma academic teaching hospital
- Critically ill medical, surgical, and trauma patient population
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
- Minimum of 6 weekend shifts required per schedule period
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license, in hand at time of consideration
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS — all must be in hand
- Minimum 2 years of ICU and/or telemetry experience with medical, surgical, or trauma critical care patients
- Level 1 Trauma center experience required
- Academic teaching hospital experience required
- Clean licensure history required — any licensure hits will disqualify a candidate
- 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates whose permanent residence is within 100 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
- All RTO must be disclosed at the time of offer — RTO requested after the assignment begins will not be approved
- No holiday RTO will be approved
- Candidates must be available to work their full schedule without conflicts; working simultaneous contracts or assignments is not permitted
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months before being eligible to return as a traveler
