Job Description

• Perform a variety of high-risk obstetric ultrasound examinations and procedures following established AIUM protocols.
• Use clinical judgment based on patient conditions and circumstances.
• Conduct clinical assessments and diagnostic sonography examinations.
• Synthesize sonographic findings with patient medical history.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
• Recent Ultrasound Technologist experience within the last year.
• ARDMS certification required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients.

Certifications & Competencies

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC certification required.
• National Certification/Verification prior to facility start and upon expiration, as applicable by profession and state.
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (annual update).
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) required for all RNs & LVNs except certain specialties; verify if applicable.
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required for all RN candidates; verify applicability.
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam required within 12 months of start for RNs & LVNs except certain specialties; verify applicability.

Background Checks & Verifications

• Comprehensive background check required within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, including:

  • SSN Trace
  • Counties, States, Nationwide Criminal Search
  • Sex Offender Search
  • Education Verification
  • PA PATCH (Pennsylvania State Police Search)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required upon hire.
• Pennsylvania Department of Human Services Fingerprint Clearance required within 90 days of start (all pages must be uploaded).
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse Search required within 90 days of start.
• Pennsylvania Medicheck Search required within 30 days of start (not required for 100% remote non-clinical).

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam (physician statement) within 2 months of start.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray per specified guidelines; annual updates not required.
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years of start.
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (positive antibody titer or completed vaccine series; declinations not accepted)
  • Varicella
• Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved exemption required for clinical staff.
• COVID-19 vaccination required or signed declination with facility-specific form.
• Drug testing: Negative 10 Panel (or 9 Panel without THC) within 60 days of start; dilute results require observed retest.
• Respirator medical clearance required annually for respirator use starting 04/07/2025.

Facility-Specific & Other Requirements

• Photo for badge (new candidates starting 3/31/2025 and after): recent, forward-facing, color photo with solid background, no hats/masks/filters.
• Affidavit for provisional employment must be completed prior to start.
• Fit Test Questionnaire required prior to start (not for 100% remote non-clinical).
• Badge Request Form required for new candidates starting before 3/30/2025.
• Signed acknowledgment of pass/fail testing required for RNs & LVNs except certain specialties.
• Minimum of 2 professional references from employment within 12 months of start.
• Complete employment application with 7 years of work history and explanations for gaps over 90 days.
• Work history verification required for non-clinical candidates including 100% remote.
