Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER) – Nights

Job Description

• Work in a fully staffed Emergency Department equipped to handle routine emergencies, complex medical, surgical, and trauma care.
• Patient population includes all ages.
• Utilize EPIC EMR system (experience with EPIC is mandatory).
• Must be able to quickly prioritize, think critically, and make sharp decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Responsibilities include obtaining health histories, completing accurate physical assessments, and planning treatments.
• Must handle unplanned situations and potentially combative or angry patient/family behaviors with compassion and professionalism.
• Attributes for success: compassion, humor, strong organizational skills, and teamwork.
• No block scheduling allowed.
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted and approved at the time of application; no more than 5 days of RTO allowed.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience.
• Experience working in a Critical Access facility is required.
• EPIC EMR experience is non-negotiable.
• Current New Hampshire RN license or Compact RN license valid in New Hampshire.
• Active American Heart Association certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Active Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment.
• Complete and current skills checklist/leadership documentation pertinent to the position (updated within the last year).
• Traveler must have their own vehicle.
• Traveler’s permanent address must be included in the profile.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Prior travel nursing experience is preferred but not required.

Additional Notes

• Orientation is non-billable with no overtime.
• Holiday pay multiplier applies.
• All certifications must be uploaded with the profile; facility will not pend certifications.
• Scheduling requests and time off must be finalized before submission; requests after offer or during interview will not be approved and may result in offer rescission.

• Emergency Department includes a three-bed trauma room and five private exam rooms.
• Located in a scenic New England region known for outdoor activities year-round, including lakes, mountains, and cultural events.
