Job Opportunity: Cardiovascular Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Summary

Assist with care of patients undergoing diagnostic and/or interventional cardiology procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab.

Required Qualifications

• Active Delaware state license as a Registered Cardiovascular Technologist or Radiology Technologist (or eligibility for licensure)
• Active ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Active BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab
• Ability to assist with 3 to 4 cases/procedures per day

Skills & Abilities

• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
• Knowledge of catheter equipment and analytical methods used in the Cath Lab
• Ability to perform new procedures under supervision
• Strong communication and interpretive skills to report results and patient conditions
• Understanding of cardiac catheterization theory and procedures
• Compassionate and helpful when interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Ability to adapt to changing policies, schedules, and workload fluctuations
• May temporarily supervise Cath Lab traffic in absence of manager/lead

Work Environment & Contact

• Close patient contact during long procedures
• Frequent interaction with radiologists, physicians, nursing staff, radiology personnel, and patient families
• Occasional contact with sales specialists presenting new technologies
• Work involves handling invasive procedures and scrubbing on diagnostic and interventional cases
• Use of computerized documentation systems
• Equipment includes Toshiba/Canon imaging and Merge hemodynamics systems

Schedule

• 40 hours per week
• On-call 12-15 days per month, including every other weekend

• Candidate must live outside a 100-mile radius of Seaford, DE
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
