Registered Nurse (LDRP) - Night Shift

Location

• Hutchinson, Kansas

Assignment Details

• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights
• Hours per shift: 12 hours
• Hours per week: 36 hours
• Weekend requirements: Night shift every third weekend
• No on-call required
• No floating required unless nurse has competency in other areas

Unit Information

• LDRP unit with 8 LDRP beds, 2 OB triage beds, 1 C-section OR, and 4 special care nursery beds
• Approximately 40 deliveries per month
• Staffing ratios follow AWHONN guidelines:

  • Labor: 1:1
  • Postpartum couplet care: 1:3-4
  • Special Care Nursery: 1:1-2
• Staff provide care for labor, vaginal delivery, circulating in C-section OR, recovery, postpartum, and newborn care (initial and routine)
• Scrubs provided (light pink top/gray bottoms)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience in LDRP or related specialty
• Certifications required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • STABLE certification preferred but can be worked around if needed
