Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Inpatient Rehabilitation
Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend required
Holiday Requirement: Required as scheduled
Floating: Not required
On-Call: Not required
Job Description
- Provide speech therapy services in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.
- Preferred experience with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA) care.
- First-time travelers accepted.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in Maryland.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID required.
- I-9 attestation and E-Verify compliance required.
- Background check including 7-year criminal history, education verification, and various federal/state screenings.
- Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug test within 30 days prior to start (instant tests not accepted).
- Physical exam within 1 year of start.
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start.
- Immunizations and titers required (must be current within 72 hours of contract signing):
- TB test or chest X-ray per protocol.
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (if applicable).
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (positive titer or vaccination/declination as applicable).
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption for the 2025-26 season.
- Two supervisory references within 1 year of start.
- Employment application/resume completed within 30 days of start.
- Verification of previous 5 years of employment history.
- Maryland State Exclusions List check within 30 days of start.
Additional Notes
- Candidates must sign facility-specific confidentiality agreements and job descriptions prior to start.
- Passport-style photo required for badge.
- Epic training test-out option available for eligible candidates.
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training may be required as applicable.
- Medication/pharmacology competency exams and other competency assessments may be required depending on profession.
- Candidates must comply with facility dress code and other policies.
This position offers a structured day shift schedule with every third weekend and holiday coverage, ideal for SLPs with inpatient rehab experience seeking a travel contract opportunity.
