Cath Lab Tech - Radiology/Cardiology

Location: Greenwood, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Work Setting: Cath Lab
• Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM)
• Hours per week: 40
• Call Requirement: Low STEMI call, approximately every 3rd week
• Charting System: EPIC
• Local radius rule: 50 miles (locals accepted)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, with experience within the last year
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) or SCRQSA (South Carolina Radiologic Quality Standards Act) or SCBME (South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners) licensure

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
• Social Security Card or Number
• Proof of E-Verify or Attestation
• Background Check:

  • 7-year criminal history check within one year of start, updated annually
  • Must cover all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
  • Instant background checks acceptable if regular search pending before start
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals/extensions
• Physical Exam: Initial and updated annually, attesting ability to meet physical demands
• Drug Testing:

  • 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant acceptable)
• Immunizations and Health Documents:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years (facility declination form allowed for medical/religious reasons)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Titer or 2 vaccines required
  • Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination
  • Varicella: Titer or 2 vaccines
  • Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved declination required during flu season
  • COVID vaccine, medical/religious exemption, or declination required
• Photo for badge required
• Proof of 2 clinical references (hospital evaluations accepted) within the past year
• Complete employment application/resume required

Additional Notes

• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement required (HIPAA compliance)
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exams required as applicable
• Competency exams and core testing required for subcontractors
• Performance evaluations collected internally if applicable; not required to be submitted by candidate
