Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Beckley, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse
• Shift: Night (3 or 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Patient Ratios: Typically 1:5 or 1:6, may fluctuate with census and call-ins
• Float required within scope of practice
• Every other weekend required
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Must reside within 75 miles of the facility
• Orientation occurs bi-weekly
• Meditech EMR system used

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in West Virginia
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, with at least 1 year of recent experience in Med Surg / Telemetry
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Additional Requirements

• Must complete and sign specialty job description annually
• Must complete employee health attestation and upload required health documentation (TB results, OSHA respirator medical evaluation, flu vaccine or exemption during flu season)
• Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season; exemption requests must be submitted within 48 hours of offer acceptance and approved prior to start
• CPI Blue Card required only for ER and Psych/Behavioral Health (not required for this position)
• Must comply with facility-specific policies including fit test policy and badge instructions

• Assignment confirmation must be signed within 24 hours of offer
• Candidates should not be submitted to more than one job at a time
• Candidates with latex allergies must notify the lead coordinator prior to start
• PAPRs cannot be accommodated due to facial hair policy; candidates must shave if exemption denied
• Schedule is based on a 36/48 hour pay period unless otherwise noted
