Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse for Maternal Child Services with a focus on Labor and Delivery. The position requires working night shifts with a schedule of 3 twelve-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM).

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Wisconsin
Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with LDRP (Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum)
Nursery experience
Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Work Schedule & Requirements

Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Weekend requirement: Every 3rd weekend mandatory
Holiday requirement: One holiday shift required
Floating: May be required to float within scope as "Helping Hands" to other units
Block scheduling: Possible at manager’s discretion
Local candidates: Not accepted within a 70-mile radius

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
Criminal background check within 12 months, including SSN trace, 7-year county residence/work history, nationwide search, and sex offender search
Wisconsin Caregiver Screening and Wisconsin BID Form required prior to start
Physical exam within 1 year indicating good health
Negative drug screen within 12 months of start
TB test (PPD, Qgold, or TSPOT) within 12 months; chest x-ray within 5 years if PPD positive
OSHA Respirator Clearance required prior to start for fit testing (fit test completed onsite during orientation)
Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually
COVID vaccination series preferred but not mandatory
Required to complete facility-specific orientation modules and sign confidentiality, security, and ethical conduct agreements prior to start
Post-start orientation checklists must be completed and submitted within the first week

Notes

First-time travel nurses are accepted
Request Return to Office (RTO) restrictions should be communicated upfront
Candidates may be required to participate in holiday rotation
References and skills checklist required as part of credentialing
