Position Details

- Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts of 12 hours each (18:00 - 6:30)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Contract Length: 13 weeks minimum
- Weekend Requirement: Up to 3 weekends per 4-week schedule period
- On-call: Not required
- Floating: Not required
- Block scheduling: Not accommodated
- Locals: Not accepted within 100 miles radius
- Pending License: Accepted
- Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: Absences greater than 7 days require approval
- Overtime: Paid after 48 hours worked (effective 10/30/2025)

Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in New Mexico
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Additional Requirements & Notes
- First-time travel therapists accepted
- No locals within 100 miles allowed
- Orientation includes fingerprinting and Cerner training attestation (optional test-out available for experienced Cerner users)
- Relias Basic Dysrhythmia Exam and other competency exams may be required depending on unit assignment
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) certification may be required for some units
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification may be required depending on unit
- Medication and pharmacology competency exams required
- Facility-specific compliance forms and acknowledgements must be completed prior to start
- Candidates must review and sign facility welcome materials before starting
- Facility does not provide public transportation; candidates must have reliable transportation arrangements
This position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work in a Level I Trauma and teaching hospital environment with a focus on respiratory care in critical and acute settings.
