Registered Nurse (PACU) - Travel/Contract

Location: Greeley, Colorado
Contract Length: 12 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
Work Setting: Outpatient surgery center

Job Description

Position in Pre-Operative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Specialty experience required in Orthopedics, General Surgery, Total Joints, Ophthalmology, and Gastrointestinal procedures
Types of surgeries include General, Otolaryngology, Pain Management, Ophthalmology, Gynecologic, Orthopedic, Podiatry, Urology, Hand, Plastic/Cosmetic, and Gastrointestinal
No weekend shifts or on-call required
Floating within scope of practice to meet facility needs is expected
Block scheduling may be accommodated depending on requested days
Facility provides scrubs (to be changed into at start and out of at end of shift)
Charting varies by site: some use electronic systems, others use paper charting
Free parking available

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Specialty experience in Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, and Gastroenterology
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
