Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Shift Options:
- Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
- Day shift, 4 days a week, 10 hours per day (8:00 AM - 6:30 PM)
Call required
Ability to float to other facilities within the health system
Strong orthopedic background required
Experience circulating and scrubbing in the OR

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
Experience in an inpatient setting
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Qualifications

CNOR certification

Certifications Required (per unit)

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA only, no placeholders
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - if applicable
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - if applicable
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) - if applicable
Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) - if applicable
Chemotherapy certification - if applicable
Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) - if applicable
NIH Stroke Certification - if applicable
Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) - for psych positions only

Additional Requirements

COVID-19 preparedness review and attestation prior to start
Completion of facility-specific documents including confidentiality agreements and emergency contact information
Completion of annual Cyber Security Awareness Training and quiz (passing score 80%+)
Completion of HIPAA Healthcare Provider Module and quiz (passing score 80%+)
Facility-specific photo for badge submission by Monday prior to start (color photo, neutral background)
Review and initial parking and uniform policies prior to start
Uniforms: Scrubs provided for certain units; others must follow facility scrub color guidelines (UCSF branded scrubs optional)
Wage Benefit Parity form required pre-start for all clinical candidates

Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.

Flu vaccine or facility-specific declination required during flu season (Nov-Apr).
