Travel Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Neuro (Saint Louis, Missouri)

Job Details

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Unit: Medical Surgical Neuro/Stroke/Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Patient Diagnoses: Stroke, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Trauma overflow, MS overflow
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5
Float Requirements: Floating within scope to MS unit and all hospital care areas, including ICU and ED for MS holds
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required
Block Scheduling: Possible at manager’s discretion
Locals: Not accepting local candidates
Pending License: Accepted

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Neurology experience
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Experience with Epic electronic medical record system
