Job Opportunity: Oncology Clinic Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Position Details

Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Day shift, 4 days a week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed hours

Job Description

Practice nurse role in an ambulatory oncology clinic (no infusion duties)
Patient population: Oncology patients before, during, or after treatments; includes follow-up, pre-op, and post-op care
Responsibilities include telephone triage, inbasket handling, assisting providers during clinic visits
May float between specialties within scope to meet facility needs
Requires chemotherapy knowledge and oncology experience

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut
Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience, with oncology experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience in an outpatient setting
Ambulatory care experience
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) knowledge or certification
