Operating Room Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Knoxville, Tennessee
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Work schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM), Monday through Friday with a rotating day off
• Specialty: Surgical service lines excluding Cardiovascular (CV), Neurosurgery, and Orthopedic Surgery; must be able to work in any other surgical areas
• On-call requirement: Yes, minimal weekend call with a proportional rotation of late stays (approximately 2-3 times per month)
• Weekend work: Not required
• Patient ratios: Not applicable; RN covers an Operating Room

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee
• Minimum 2 years of OR Circulating Nurse experience, with experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not preferred but may be considered with appropriate experience
• Locals accepted; pending licenses are not accepted
• Time off requests must be submitted prior to finalizing placement agreement
• Orientation includes photo for badge, fit testing for respiratory protection, and parking form completion
• Facility-specific forms and compliance documents required (e.g., immunization declination, flu exemption, fit testing)
• ACLS certification may be required if assigned to certain units (Labor and Delivery, ER, OR, PCU, ICU), but not explicitly required for this position
