Location: Salem, Oregon

Job Details
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Alternating
- 4 shifts of 10 hours (11:30 AM - 10:00 PM)
- 4 shifts of 10 hours (7:00 AM - 6:30 PM)
- Variable start times between 7:00 AM and 11:30 AM, any day of the week
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Sonography preferred
- Minimum 4 years of experience as an Ultrasound Tech (highest required years of experience)
Licenses & Certifications Required
- Active Sonography license with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) — permanent or temporary
- Registration with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in both Abdomen and OB/GYN
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Skills & Abilities
- Proficient in operating state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment, computer systems, film processors, and other supportive devices
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work positively in a team environment
- Demonstrates empathy and compassion toward patients, families, visitors, and co-workers
Background & Compliance Requirements
- Criminal background check within 90 days of start (7-year search)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and every 30 days thereafter
- Education verification required for non-licensed providers (not applicable here)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start (can start with physical pending)
- Drug testing (10-panel) within 90 days of start
- Fit mask testing to be completed onsite within the first week of starting (not required for this role)
- Required immunizations and screenings:
- Tdap vaccine or facility-specific declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity verification or vaccination
- Hepatitis B immunity or vaccination series (may start with booster series in process)
- Varicella immunity or vaccination (may start with second booster pending)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination (year-round requirement)
Additional Requirements
- Competency exams with passing scores (e.g., 80% for general competency)
- Photo for badge required at least 8 days prior to start
- Completion of required facility-specific training modules before or by the date of hire
- References: 2 references within the last 2 years showing 1 year in a comparable specialty; at least one supervisory reference within the last 12 months
