Certifications Required

• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) mandatory
• Preferred skills: Chemotherapy administration, Charge Nurse experience
• Other certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, CPI/MAB) — check unit-specific requirements

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued ID required
• Criminal background check within 6 months, including statewide and nationwide searches
• Quarterly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Education verification of highest nursing degree required before start
• Professional license primary source verification required (Missouri licenses via NURSYS)
• Drug testing within 1 year, must include specific panels and be valid throughout assignment
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask test required and must be renewed annually
• Immunizations and titers required or declination forms for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • TB (2 negative PPDs or equivalent test)
  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B declination required (not vaccination)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
• Various facility-specific documents including HIPAA acknowledgement, confidentiality form, latex allergy questionnaire, hand hygiene, fingernail, and dress code policies must be signed prior to start
• Background checks and state-specific searches must be current and renewed as required

Additional Requirements

• Skills checklist specific to unit required within 1 year of start
• Competency exams required annually, including medication/pharmacology and unit-specific exams (e.g., oncology competency if applicable)
• References: Two professional references required (supervisors preferred)
• Employment application must be completed and uploaded
• Candidates must adhere to RTO (request time off) restrictions: no more than 7 days off per 13-week contract

• Candidates may be pulled to other departments caring for similar patient populations
• Block scheduling is not accommodated
• Candidates must be prepared to float as needed within the facility and to other units
• Badge photo and facility badge required prior to start
• Orientation modules must be completed through WorkRamp prior to start (approximately 16 hours)

This position is ideal for RNs with at least 2 years of experience who are flexible with floating and weekend rotations, and who meet the comprehensive compliance and certification requirements.
