Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Springfield, Illinois.
• Acute care hospital setting.
• Level I trauma center and Magnet facility.
• 562 staffed beds.
• 13-week contract.
• Day shift: 4x10 hours, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM.
• Weekends as needed.
• First-timers accepted.
• Locals accepted with no radius.
• Will float as needed within scope.
• RTO ideally no more than 5 days.
• Block schedule requests can be discussed with the manager.
• Charting system: Cerner.
• Parking permit required; no cost.

Required Qualifications

• Electrophysiology Technician (5 years of experience)
• Electrophysiology Technician experience within the last year
• Experience with EP diagnostic procedures, ablations, all cardiac devices, and running Cardo Micropace.
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• A valid/current US driver’s license or US ID card.
• Background check within 30 days of start, including SSN trace, counties, states, national criminal, national sex offender, and FACIS Level 3.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM search within 30 days prior to start.
• HHS/OIG search within 30 days prior to start.
• Initial degree verification.
• Illinois Department of Corrections inmate search within 30 days of start.
• Illinois Most Wanted search within 30 days of start.
• Illinois State Police Murderer and Violent Offender Against Youth Registry search within 30 days of start.
• Illinois Health Care Worker Registry fingerprint results for clinical candidates without an Illinois state license providing direct care.
• Competency exam.
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement.
• State license verification.
• Badge photo.
• Code of conduct acknowledgement.
• Parking permit form.
• Module instructions completion.
• Physical exam within a year of start.
• Fit test.
• Negative TB or chest X-ray.
• TB questionnaire.
• Rubeola documentation.
• Mumps documentation.
• Rubella documentation.
• Hepatitis B documentation.
• Varicella documentation.
• 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start.
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption by 11/30.
