Operating Room RN

Overview

Travel/contract role in New Haven, Connecticut
Start: ASAP
Contract length: 13 weeks
36 hours per week
3x12 schedule with day/night rotation
First-time travelers accepted
Weekend work required
On-call required
Guaranteed hours included
No holiday RTO approved
RTO over 7 days requires approval
Does not accommodate block scheduling

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Connecticut
OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Independent experience managing all trauma cases
Independent experience with craniotomy procedures
Independent experience with vascular procedures
Independent experience with endovascular procedures

Preferred Qualifications

Scrub experience preferred
Experience with robotics and orthopedics preferred

Schedule Details

Schedule is built in 6-week blocks and released 2 weeks before the block starts
Typically scheduled one week on a shift before rotating to another shift the following week
Travelers are usually placed on nights for one week out of each 4-week block
Up to 2 on-call shifts per week
