Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Schedule

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend (EOW)
• 36 hours per week
• Rotation includes days/evenings with 1 to 3 rotations to nights per contract

Job Description

• Float Pool RN position requiring willingness to float to 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units within the hospital
• Responsible for cardiac monitoring, including measuring intervals and interpreting telemetry strips every 4 hours
• Administer cardiac drips and manage TR Band
• Patient care includes ED border patients, acute mental health medication nursing, and non-vented ICU transfer-ready patients
• Patient-to-clinician ratio: up to 6:1 on nights, up to 5:1 on days and evenings
• Charting system: EPIC

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
• Minimum 2 years working as a Traveler
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience with cardiac drips
• Experience managing TR Band
