Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Location: Oconomowoc, Wisconsin

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, rotating shifts (4x10 hour shifts), 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM or 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40

Job Overview

• Work primarily in the Operating Room with orthopedic and medical surgical patients.
• Surgery includes OB c-sections and all inpatient and outpatient surgeries.
• Orthopedic service line comprises about 40% of total volume, including procedures such as total knees and hips, cataract surgeries, and c-section circulator role.
• Float assignments to other units and facilities based on census, with approval required if outside clinical skills.
• On-call requirements: one weekend every 6 weeks (Friday end of shift to Monday 6:30 AM) and one weekday overnight per week.
• Scrub color provided: blue.
• Must be resilient, adaptable to change, and socially engaged.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS certification
• Experience in charge nurse roles
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Additional Information

• Guaranteed 40 hours per week except during holidays when the unit is closed.
• Orientation week hours are not guaranteed.
• Float locations include Waukesha Memorial and Mukwonago facilities.
• One on-call team provides 24/7 coverage at the end of the day.
