Cardiovascular Sonographer

Overview

• Location: Raleigh, North Carolina
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Shift: Days
• Hours: 40 per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Echo Technologist experience within the last year
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Echo Technologist
• BLS
• One of the following credentials:

  • RDCS certified through ARDMS
  • RCS certified through CCI
  • ACS certified through CCI
  • RCCS certified through CCI
• Accredited Associate’s Degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field, or completion of a twelve (12) month ultrasound program
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• Stress echo experience

Role Details

• Performs outpatient cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography)
• Provides pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care, including patient assessment and emergency cardiac care
• May assist with post-procedure transport
• Calibrates, maintains, troubleshoots, and performs quality assurance on equipment
• Generates ultrasound images of the heart and/or vascular related structures
• May perform staff training and education
• Monitors and records patient information, maintains report storage and data systems, and prepares charge entry and reports
• Prepares procedure room and equipment for daily use and between procedures
