Required Qualifications

• RN license
• BLS (AHA)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM)
• FHM - A1 Intermediate
• 1 year of experience in Labor & Delivery

Schedule / Work Expectations

• 36 hours per week
• Every 3rd weekend
• Call is required: 6 hours per pay period
• Must work 1 major holiday per season
• 6 shifts of orientation with a preceptor

Unit Details

• Small Labor & Delivery unit
• 6 labor rooms, 3 postpartum rooms, 1 triage room, and 1 OR for C-sections
• LDRP patients; rare general overflow patient
• 1:1 in Labor & Delivery; up to 1:3 in postpartum
• Charge nurse is on site 24/7 and takes a full assignment
• CNA coverage: 1 per shift
• Typically staffed on days with 3–4 RNs and 1 tech

Additional Notes

• Stable is preferred
• Any color or print is allowed
• Paragon (McKesson) is used
• Floating may include MedSurg PCU or LTC, task-only
• C-sections are done in the Labor & Delivery OR suite
