Overview

• 13-week assignment in Canby, Minnesota
• 25-bed critical access hospital
• Rotating day/night schedule
• 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Every 3rd weekend coverage requested
• No call requirements
• The nurse would not work alone

Required Qualifications

• RN license in Minnesota
• BLS
• ACLS
• TNCC or CALS
• Must note in submission if the clinician has ever worked for Sanford Health; if previously worked there, the end date must be at least 6 months before submission
• Must badge in and out at the facility

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 3 years of RN experience

Unit / Assignment Details

• Works with all patient types and skill mixes, from infant to geriatric
• Does not do scheduled OB/deliveries
• Floating may include hospital, ED, outpatient nursing, and PACU
• Average census is around 6 patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:3-4
• Minimum staffing is 2 RNs at night; day/evening staffing is generally 3-4 RNs
• Nursing assistant support is available from 0500-2130

Equipment / Systems

• Epic / One Chart
• Pyxis for medication administration
• Alaris IV pumps
• Phillips telemetry/cardiac monitoring

Orientation

• New RN is typically paired with another RN on the unit
• EMR/Epic training can be completed on-site by a local trainer
