Physical Therapist (PT) - Outpatient Clinic
Location
- Monterey, California
- Outpatient clinic at a wellness center
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Tuesday, Thursday: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- 8-hour shifts, approximately 40 hours per week
- Therapists do not schedule their own patients
- Clinic closed on most major holidays; may be open on minor holidays
- No weekend requirements
Patient Population & Caseload
- Average 8-12 patients treated per day (typically around 10)
- Usually 1 evaluation per day, but may vary
- Mostly orthopedic patients with occasional higher-level neurological cases
Job Duties & Skills
- Proficient computer skills required
- Knowledge of EPIC EMR helpful but not required (training provided)
- Pelvic floor experience is a plus
- Assistance available from rehab aides and a PTA on staff
Required Certifications & Licenses
- BLS (American Heart Association) required
- Other vaccination and certification requirements handled by HR
Facility Policies
- Nicotine-free facility: negative drug test for nicotine/cotinine required; positive results without legitimate medical reason may result in contract cancellation
Dress Code
- Teal scrubs preferred; business uniform also acceptable
Orientation & Training
- Department-specific orientation covering clinic policies and EPIC EMR training
