Work Schedule
- 8-hour days, typically 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- One schedule is Monday to Friday, another is Friday to Monday
- Occasional weekend coverage (rarely)
- No on-call duties
Job Description
- Provide social work services across multiple units including Emergency Room and Mother/Baby through rotational coverage
- Perform assessments of social situations and needs, develop corresponding plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary team rounds focused on discharge planning
- Float coverage to various units as needed
- Use EMR systems EPIC and MIDAS (experience required)
- Patient ratio approximately 1:8
Required Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) license in Alaska
- Minimum 2 years of LMSW experience, including experience within the last year
- Master’s degree in Social Work
- Experience with EPIC EMR system
- BLS certification
