Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

Nights
3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Every other weekend or 2 weekend shifts per schedule
Holiday rotation required

Unit Details

Neuro stepdown and epilepsy monitoring unit
31 beds total
Patient ratios: 1:3 for stepdown; 1:5-6 for floor/EMU
Charge nurse available 24/7
Nurse aides available
Telemetry is present on the unit, and RNs do not need to read strips
Respiratory therapy is available 24/7
Floating may be required

Required Qualifications

BLS certification
NIHSS
Strong neuro experience
Experience caring for stroke patients and implementing NIH
EPIC experience
Must have NIHSS in hand at time of submission
Must be a stepdown-qualified RN

Preferred Qualifications

ACLS

Additional Submission Requirements

Driver’s license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility
Previous permanent staff must be gone for 2 years
Previous travelers who worked there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years
Any license hits must be disclosed at time of submission
COVID vaccination required, with medical or religious exemption process available
