Surgical Tech Travel Opportunity - Washington

Location

Tacoma, Washington

Contract Length

13 weeks

Job Description

Position: Surgical Tech (OR Tech)
Work setting: Operating Room with an average of 30 cases per day across 9 suites
Common case types: ENT, robotics, gynecology, cystoscopy, orthopedics, and general surgery
Float assignments: May float between OR, Same Day Surgery OR, and Main OR
EMR system: EPIC
Shift: Days, 4/10-hour shifts (6:30 AM–5:00 PM with possible flex to 8:30 AM–7:00 PM)
Call: Minimal call required; approximately 2-3 calls every 6 weeks
Call response time: 20 minutes for trauma cases, 30 minutes for non-trauma cases
Orientation: Approximately 2 weeks including EPIC training, modules, and department-specific orientation
Dress code: Scrub color provided

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of general OR experience
Active BLS certification
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
Valid Washington state license
COVID-19 vaccination required

Additional Information

Charge nurse available on unit
Surgeon on call when not in-house; anesthesia and trauma coverage available 24/7 in Main OR
