RN II - Medical/Surgical Tele Acute 3rd Floor

Role Summary

Travel RN needed for a Med Surg, Tele PCU float pool assignment in Prescott, Arizona.

Required Qualifications

• ACLS
• BLS
• 2 years of recent med surg/tele experience
• 1 year of PCU experience
• Current state license
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing the contract

Preferred Qualifications

• Cerner experience

Unit Details

• Telemetry- WC-Cardiac/Medical 3rd Floor
• 49 beds
• Ratios: 1:5
• Common diagnoses/patient types include CHF, COVID, respiratory, GI, diabetics, tele, post cath, and total joint replacement
• RN’s are required to interpret strips and sign at least once per shift
• Diltiazem/Cardizem drips are taken at a set rate
• Nurse aides are on the unit with ratios of 1:10-15
• RT/equipment on the unit includes BiPap, CPAP, and breathing treatments

Schedule

• Nights
• 12-hour shifts, 7-7
• 36 hours per week
• Schedule is made out for 4 weeks
• Self-scheduling is used, but final approval is by the manager
• 2 weekends per 4-week schedule
• Holiday coverage includes Christmas, New Years, and Thanksgiving

Float Scope

• May float to East Campus
• May possibly float to PCU if qualified
