Job Opportunity: Cath Lab/IR Tech
Location: Glendale, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Cath Lab/IR Tech for a travel contract in a hospital setting. The role involves working in a Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology (IR) unit with 3 suites/labs, handling 8-10 cases per day on average.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab/IR Tech
- Active California license for Radiologic Technologist
- Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), ARRT (R), Fluoroscopy certification
- Scrub experience required
- Prior travel experience preferred (not mandatory)
Work Details
- Shifts: 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with call coverage after shift ends
- Call Requirements:
- Weekend call required two weekends per month (24-hour call from 6:30 AM to 6:30 AM)
- Evening call required 1-2 times per week with a 30-minute response time
- Orientation: One shift on unit for floor-specific orientation
- No floating required
- Typical cases include:
- Left and Right heart catheterizations (interventional and diagnostic)
- Electrophysiology (EP) studies
- Pacemakers and defibrillators
- IR procedures such as PICC line placements, central lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, pleurovacs, etc.
Equipment and Systems
- EMR: Meditech
- Telemetry: GE MacLab

- Charge nurse present
- 24/7 Radiology Tech and Pharmacy support
- Scrub color provided
- Holidays: One major and one minor holiday observed
