Shift: 06:45 - 17:15

Role Summary

The Pre-Operative Registered Nurse provides nursing care for patients preparing for surgical and procedural interventions, including pre-operative assessments, patient readiness verification, medication and IV therapy, patient education, and coordination with surgical and anesthesia teams.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
1 year of preoperative experience
Preoperative experience within the last year
Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS certification
Driver's License

Preferred Experience

Previous Pre-Op/PACU experience in an acute-care hospital
Experience with multiple surgical specialties
Familiarity with Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols
Experience working with anesthesia and surgical teams
Experience with electronic medical record systems
