Job Opportunity: X-Ray Technologist
Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)
Job Details
- Shift: 8:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Call: Based on department needs
- Weekend and holiday work required if scheduled
- May need to float within skill set or to nearby sites within 40 miles
- Experience with fluoroscopy and surgery required
- EPIC system experience preferred
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in Wisconsin
- Minimum 3 years of X-Ray Technologist experience, including fluoroscopy and surgery
- Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel assignment
- Prior travel experience required
Onboarding & Compliance Requirements
- Professional resume/profile and at least two professional references
- Signed assignment agreement and confirmation of assignment documentation
- Core competencies completed within the last year (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, etc.)
- Specialty exam demonstrating competency in X-Ray Technologist area (minimum 80% passing score)
- Criminal background check and employment verification (7 years)
- Drug screening (12-panel) within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
- Education verification relevant to clinical work
- Health and immunization documentation including:
- MMR (two vaccines or positive titer)
- Varicella (two vaccines or immunity evidence)
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
- Influenza vaccine or mask requirement during flu season
- Tdap vaccine (valid within 10 years)
- TB testing (2-step PPD or IGRA) and chest X-ray if positive
- Fit test for respiratory protection (3M masks preferred)
- Health statement or physical exam prior to assignment, updated annually
- Color vision test prior to start and every 3 years
- Badge photo (headshot with white or blue background)
Additional Notes
- Must complete onboarding education attestation prior to start
- Skills checklist to be completed annually
- May be required to work holidays if they fall on scheduled workdays
This position is suitable for experienced X-Ray Technologists who have prior travel experience and meet the licensing and certification requirements.
