Travel Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Location: Salem, Massachusetts

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work on a 41-bed Medical Telemetry Unit.
• Rotating shifts required for day shifts (7a-7p, 11a-11p, 7p-7a rotation every other week).
• Night shifts are straight nights.
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips.
• Floating to other applicable units as needed.
• Patient population includes cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, psychiatric, substance use disorder, genitourinary, and gastrointestinal cases.
• Clinician-to-patient ratio:

  • Days: 1:4-5
  • Evenings & Nights: 1:5-6
• Charting system: EPIC.
• Free on-site parking available.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts.
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience, with telemetry experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Proficient in cardiac telemetry monitoring, including interpretation of telemetry strips.
• Skilled in managing cardiac drips.
• Experienced in the management of TR bands.
• Competent in the use of high-flow oxygen therapy.
