Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Step Down Unit (36hr Nights)
Location: Newton, Massachusetts

Shift: 36-hour night shifts, 3x12hr shifts (7:15 PM - 7:15 AM), every other weekend and rotating holidays

Requirements
- Experience: Step Down unit experience required
- Years of Specialty Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum experience consistent with Step Down nursing

- Valid RN License: Primary source verification required; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted
- N95 Fit Test: Must be current within 365 days prior to start and updated annually (no onsite fit testing)
- Medication Exam: 80% passing score within 365 days (RN & LPN)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) Immunity: Documentation of vaccines or proof of immunity required
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30); no exemptions allowed
- TB Test: Documentation of TB skin test or negative blood test within 3 months of start date, updated if >6 month break
- Health Statement: Physician statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break
- Criminal Background Check: Within 45 days prior to start date, including Massachusetts CORI check
- Sex Offender Registry Check: Within 30 days of start and updated annually
- Exclusion Checks: OIG, GSA, MassHealth & NH Medicaid exclusion lists checked within 30 days of start and annually
- Education Verification: Highest level of education verified
- Social Security Number Trace: Required with criminal background check
- References: Two recent references, minimum one supervisor or above, in skillset
Additional Onboarding Requirements
- Completion of facility-specific self-study orientation and attestation
- Respirator Medical Clearance (RMC) Attestation
- Skills checklist and candidate submission coversheet required for submission
- Confirmation of assignment/POI form required upon acceptance and for extensions
Preferred (Optional) Credentials
- Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity (strongly preferred)
- Tdap vaccine within last 10 years (preferred)
- Positive PPD with negative chest x-ray documentation if applicable
- TB symptom survey if positive PPD
