Role Overview
- Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse
- Travel/Contract assignment in Columbus, Ohio
- Night shift: 3x12s, 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with ventilator management
- Continuous IV sedation
Float Scope
- Will be required to float to different units within the organization as needed
Additional Notes
- Unit-specific competency exam required
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for RNs within 1 year of start and updated annually, unless excluded by the facility’s EKG test exclusion list
- Annual stroke education may be required depending on unit assignment
- Fit testing is required for in-patient/patient-facing RNs
- Flu vaccination or declination is required during flu season
- Drug screen required within 3 months of start
