  • Day shift, 3x12 hours
  • 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Holiday rotation

Schedule Requirements

  • 1 weekend shift per 4-week schedule period
  • Up to 4 call shifts per 4-week schedule period
  • Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Surgical Technologist (2 years of experience)
  • Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
  • NBSTSA
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Radiation badge required and must be provided by the agency
  • First-time travelers accepted

Preferred Experience

  • Neuro cases, including spines/crani
  • ENT cases, including flaps
  • Robotics cases, including DaVinci Xi

Case Mix

  • Ortho: total joints, spine, trauma
  • Neuro: crani, spine
  • ENT: flaps
  • Robotics
  • Transplants/procurements
  • Trauma/burns
  • GU/GYN

Facility Notes

  • Level I trauma center
  • Teaching facility
  • Magnet hospital
  • 21 operating rooms
  • Scrub color provided

Compliance / Pre-Start Items

  • EPIC charting
  • 2 clinical references
  • Resume/application with complete work history and no unaccounted gaps
  • Skills checklist for the applicable unit
  • Annual background check
  • Education verification
  • Fit test within 90 days of start
  • 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
  • Tdap within 10 years of start or declination
  • TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
  • Annual TB questionnaire
  • Immunization documentation for measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella
  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
  • COVID vaccination documentation preferred; declination accepted if not vaccinated
  • Physical exam
  • Color blind testing
  • Competency exam
  • Orientation modules must be completed before start
  • Passport-style badge photo required before start

Additional Notes

  • Local candidates are accepted within a 60-mile radius
  • First-timers are accepted
  • Hurricane season runs June through November, and travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during that time
