Assignment Details

• Location: West Islip, New York
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Nights, 3x12 hours
• Weekly hours: 36
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Role focus: Medical-surgical telemetry RN for ED overflow

Required Qualifications

• Valid New York RN license
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 1 year of telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• 2 clinical references from supervisor level or above

Required Documents and Compliance

• Driver’s license or state ID with address and clear photo
• 7-year background check completed within 30 days of start and updated annually
• State license verification within 30 days of start
• Employment application covering 7 years of work history with gaps explained
• Current skills checklist completed within the last year
• Standard 9-panel drug screen completed within 30 days prior to start
• Physical exam using the facility-specific form, completed within 30 days prior to start
• Fit test completed within 12 months of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray completed within 1 year of start
• Proof of immunity or vaccination status for measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B
• Flu vaccination or approved declination during flu season
• COVID vaccine documentation if available
• Signed facility AUP form

Additional Notes

• Medication/pharmacology competency exam required with a minimum score of 80%
• Annual updates are required for several compliance items
